To the people of Fort Knox,
On the night of
December 6, 2005 our house caught on fire. Due to temperature conditions
the 4,500 square foot structure burned out of control for 8-9 hours. The
house was totally destroyed and we lost everything. . . except a couple of
years before the fire I purchased on of your executive series fun safes.
My sons Model 70 pre .64 gun collection and our other valuables were in
the safe.
I was shocked when the safe was opened their was no
damage to the funs or valuables. I knew that you had said the safe would
withstand 1600 degrees for 90 min, so I was sure the items in the safe
would have been lost also because of the time it had been in the
fire.
My family lost a lot but it helps so much when there is at
least something to hang onto. So I just wanted to thank all of you at Fort
Know for making such an exceptional product that is better than you
advertise it to be!

Dear Sirs
I am writing this letter to thank
you for making the highest quality gun vault on the
market today. I purchased my vault in August, 1995 at a gun show in
Jackson Mississippi. It was the last day of the gun show and with about
one half hour before the show closed I decided on 1200. The only 1200 that
the vendor had left was one that was accidentally shot the day before by a
gun dealer from accross the isle. The round that was fired was a 38
Special, which struck the middle of the door, and about 6 inches up from
the bottom. The only damage done to the vault by the bullet was the paint
was chipped off about the size of a quarter. Your company sent some
touchup paint, and in 20 minutes I had the chip fixed and looking
good.
Two years later 30 October, 1997, four punks tried to break
into my vault. For an hour and a half they beat the vault and pried the
door. They managed to knock the dial off and punch a small 1 inch high by
3 inch long hole in the top right side of the vault. The only thing the
four managed to get for their efforts were blisters and an attempted grand
larceny charge, which are now waiting to go to trial.
Again I would like to thank you for the vault that save my
guns and a lot of heartache. The last thing I can say in my case is, my
vault is bullet proof and burglar proof.
Thank
You Tim |

Boy, am I glad I bought a Fort Knox product.
I've owned one of your vault doors since 1996 and it has worked without
fail since then. I had trouble with it for the first time a couple of
weeks ago and contacted your site for help. I pointed out that, because of
the time difference, I would be home at about the time your work day
ended, and could be called there at that time. In the mean time, I
contacted my installing/servicing dealer, Steve's Services. He made some
suggestions and asked me to call him back whether or not they worked. I
then got the call from your service people at 6:30 EST, shortly after I
had walked in the door. They endorsed Steve's advice, but they invited me
to call back if I did need help.
When I couldn't get the door to
work properly, Steve offered to come over immediately, but I could not
accommodate him. When he did come over, he stayed until it was fixed, more
than an hour. When I asked him what I owed him, he said
“zero.”
It's hard to beat that level of service.
I have
recommended your products (and Steve's Services) to friends and
acquaintances because of performance, and I know Steve's has made sales to
some of them. Now I can recommend your products based on service, as well,
both from Fort Knox and Steve's.
I am not connected to Steve's in
any way, except as a happy customer.

This was the first time that I have had the
opportunity in my eight years of locksmithing to see first hand how a Fort Knox safe holds up in
a fire. I must say that I was quite impressed. The contents of the
safe included such items as paper money, guns, ammunition, jewelry,
pictures, and plastic. Upon entry to the safe, it was discovered that the
money was unburned, the pictures were in good shape, the ammunition was
unharmed, and the plastic did not melt. It has been my pleasure in the
past to service your safes but now I can assure my customers with
confidence that their belongings are truly safe in a For Knox gun safe…We
believe that they will be especially interested in this because this man
lost everything he owned in the fire EXCEPT for the contents of the the
safe. I think that you can see the advertising possibilities
here.

When I ordered my Legend 12000 XT Gun
Safe back in October of 1995, I had no idea that its protection would
be so valuable. The prevention of theft was my primary reason for
purchasing your product, little did I know that two years later it would
save my firearms from what has been the most devastating things ever to
happen to me and my family. A fire ravaged our home between New Years Eve
1997 and New Years Day 1998 and although I have had several thousand
dollars of refinishing and cleaning, done to my firearms, they still do
exist and are not in ashes as many of our possessions are today. I just
want to thank you for making a fine product. Without my Legend 12000 XT
safe, I would have been way under insured for the contents of my home and
would not have any grandfathers old hunting rifle in my possession today.
Again, I can not thank you enough for your fine product.

As you are aware we had a
terrible fire on February 23, 2001, that totally destroyed our home. We
had one of your fireproof
safes in our home that held all my wife's jewelry and all our
important paper, including a complete inventory of all our personal
property.
When the safe was removed from the fire, the
representative said that when most safes sustain a fire of the magnitude,
the contents are destroyed. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened
the safe and found that all the items enclosed in the safe had made it
through the fire with the the exception of a couple of video
tapes.
Needless to say, we have purchased a larger Fort Knox fireproof
safe to put back into our house when it is rebuilt. I cannot express
how pleased I am with the protection and performance of the Fort Knox
Security Products. Thank you.

My safe was kept in a closet off of the living room
of the ranch house in a rather remote area of the Texas Hill
Country.
The thieves had dragged the safe from the closet and
dropped it on its back in the living room floor. Using sledge hammers, 301
lb. bars, axes, pick-ax, and grubbing hoe they knocked off the dial and
dial ring, broke the handle off, and pried up the two outside corner of
the door. Using a portable grinder and circle saw with disc grinder blade
they ground completely through the upper hinge and partially through the
lower. They also cut a gash approximately 1/4 inch deep in the center of
the door before giving up on that approach.
They evidently put in
several hours before giving up on breaking into the safe.
The safe
contained 15 expensive guns (rifles, shotguns, and pistols), cameras,
telescope and other valuables, none of which were damaged.
Yours
Very Truly, Roger |

To the men and women who make the
Fort Knox gun
model safe:
I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for
your product. On the 26th of May, 1998, thieves broke into the business
where I have my Fort Knox gun safe. The thieves used crow-bars, hammers
and a pry bar to try to break into my safe. They did not succeed.
I
am a full-time police officer, I have assault weapons and duty weapons in
my Defender. At
the time of the break in I was on military duty in Alabama. When I was
told about the break-in the first thing that went through my mind was that
those guns were on the street. I was reassured that the safe had not been
entered, but that it was badly damaged and I may not be able to get it
opened.
When I returned home I inspected the safe and found that
they had bent the door in a couple a places and that the door frame had
been bent. They also bent the handle and twisted it on the shaft. The
damage that it took was unreal. The hammers that they used were on the
floor, broken and the pry bar was bent, yet they did not gain access to my
Defender Safe.
I called Keislers Police Supply, where I had
purchased the safe, and told them what had happened. They told me nat to
worry, that I was covered by Fort Knox's
warranty and that my safe would be replaced. I was very
relieved.
I thank you for your quality and high standard in your
product, along with your great replacement policy. You kept my personal
belongings and duty weapons safe, and you kept the police and citizens
safe by keeping thieves from getting to these weapons and turning them
loose on the streets.
I will back your product and if anyone asks
me what kind of gun safe I rocommend I will tell them Ft. Knox has the
best product that money can buy.
Again thank you and keep the same
quality and standards. People will buy this
product.
Sincerely, Officer David |

When I purchased your Guardian 1200
SV safe several years ago, little did I know what a valuable investment I
had made.
I used the Guardian to store my gun collection,
ammunition and important documents such as birth certificates, social
security cards, marriage licenses, etc. The Guardian was located in the
master bedroom of the our home.
On December 21, 1995, our kerosene
heater, which had been inadvertently filled with gasoline, exploded into
flames. The fire which followed
destoyed our bedroom and severely damaged the remainder of the house. What
wasn't burned was so severely smoke-damaged that almost nothing was saved.
The Guardian 1200 safe was in the immediate vicinity of the
heater.
The safe was charred and warped from the intese heat. A
locksmith was needed to open it. To my surprise, when the safe was opened,
everything was intact: my important documents unharmed, a box of
ammunition unexploded, my guns needing only to be cleaned.
I was so
impressed with the performance of my Guardian 1200 I wanted you to know. I
would recommend this product to anyone wanting a gun safe providing
superior protection to its contents.
Thank you again for providing
an outstanding product.
Dennis
